Ivy doesn't have much of a care for humans as a species, but she has more time for women than men, and her patience for small children (particularly children trapped in less-than-ideal situations) is almost infinite. Girls most of all - and she hasn't seen many children in the city, which gives this one the bonus protection of being...novel, for lack of a better term. A rarity.
