Wonderful Place [Open]

Who: Garrus and whoever.
What: Explorations. Also, heading to Chnum.
Where: Various. Anywhere on the roads between The Valhalla and Chnum?
When: Misdi after the swap meet weekend; likely around the early afternoon.
Notes: As I will probably handwave whatever happens inside the market proper, this is primarily a catch-all post for LOOK WHO FINALLY VENTURED OUTSIDE, COME SAY HI IF YOU'RE IN THIS NECK OF THE WOODS.
Warnings: None. Oh, but I do ramble in my posts. :D

It was good. This was good. People were supposed to go outside. But really, he was so accustomed to life on starships at this point that holing up inside the Inn hadn't really been that big a deal. At least until the matter of sustenance had really become an issue. Chnum, they'd said. Apparently some market for the non-humans and the "true aliens". This sort of segregation didn't shock him; all he really cared about was that they'd have what he was looking for (if only we all had the same DNA, but nooo, the galaxy loves diversity).

The package that had arrived in the mysterious influx of items had been a saving grace. He didn't know if it was wishful thinking that the so-called gods had overheard, but all he knew was that he'd somehow received a care package like the ones his family had sent him back in his days at C-Sec. In fact, identical, but he'd already swallowed the concept of infinite parallel universes so this really was but a drop in the bucket of ridiculousness. Chock full of edibles that would keep for some time, assuming he was smart about how he rationed them out. And he would be, seeing as it could be a matter of life and death after a certain point.

As to that bottle of expensive, hard-to-come-by turian liquor? Well. He'd have certainly given Solana an earful about it back then, because there were far better applications for those credits. But for now, he'd save it for a special occasion. Assuming there would be any of those here. What else came along in that package.. (nope, nope, nope) he could ponder all that later. Just the thought of it sent his mandibles clicking in agitation.

Musings of home and dextro-candy aside, he was busy navigating the streets that lay between the inn and this marketplace. Though the CiD was still hell to work with (his armor wasn't helping and neither were his talons when he'd take his gloves off) he'd finally pulled a map of the city up and was currently making use of it to do a little exploration. Garrus was still really curious if he could somehow sync it to his visor or his omnitool, but he wasn't certain how the potentially magical properties of the stupid little device would react to that kind of tampering.

He assumed the architecture was largely human-inspired, as there were so many in the city, but that was all he could extrapolate from his observations as he'd never actually been to Earth to make a comparison. His progress was slow, no real rush any longer. More like a stroll. The kind of stroll you take with a sniper rifle slung against your back because hey, you never know. To say he was glad that he'd gone outside with it this time was an understatement. He'd gone fully armored to the 'party' just as he was now, but this felt so much better.
