birds singing in the sycamore tree
As night falls on Baedal, the city is almost quiet. The streets have a few last minute workers returning home, but by now, most citizens have already gone by the temples and picked up their vurt, ready to lay down and dream.
After placing a not-feather in one's mouth, there's a moment where it fizzes against the tongue before sliding coolly down the back of the throat and pulling the user down into sleep. A series of impressions, more sensation than anything concrete, appears before the user and this is how one chooses which Dreamer to enter.

"I don't expect you to forget, Steph, and it's not our place to forgive." She wishes Tim could, one day, but it's certainly not his obligation. "We...can try accept, though, to move forward with him. It will take time; you need to know him as - someone more than the Red Hood."
Her smile, now, is sad. "It's only easier for me because I already did. I wish - " She closes her eyes, for a moment. "You reminded me of him, in some ways. And I think that's why...he'd have reacted differently."

"I don't even know him as the Red Hood," it's not a dismissal of what's already been said, she agrees with Babs, even if it's going to be a hard process for her to actually make any of it happen.
She doesn't quit smile, but her mouth twists ruefully, "I've heard that before. I'd ask him myself but... I doubt he'd appreciate the question." And she doesn't need to make an enemy out of him.

She can imagine the context, and Barbara squeezes her hand as she says, "He was a damn good Robin, and so were you."

"Thanks," The colours of her dress brighten a little, more the proper Robin colours now, rather than a muted version. "I wish --" A lot of things, but none of them help anyone and she's not even sure if she can pinpoint a single thing. So she just shrugs it off.

With a soft, sad smile, "Me too."

She sighs and lets herself float a little more horizontal, looking up at the stars, "This got depressing."
Steph is nothing if not blunt.
