It's a good plan, and the idea of having something concrete to follow does soothe her, somewhat--she'd been worried about Huan. It strikes her as too petty to believe that Zendak would do something to her dog, but Huan is her protector as much as she is his. "Will you stay with me?" Sitting at the edge while she's in the bath is normally a more intimate practice than what she's suggesting, but arguably there's a closeness in this, too. People picking up one another when they're wrecked is a sign of something, she'll realize, later--much later.
