It's a slight effort for her to come within striking range of the manticore - not that she thinks it would, if it's so calm around Shrieky - but it's... well it's a manticore and she's only human, both in abilities and fears. But she manages it, coming close and standing near Shrieky's feet, so she doesn't have to twist to look at her.
