Projectile weapons in general, really--he's already fussed at Bones about the recoil. That's something phasers don't have. He figured out how to compensate for that with regard to aim and recovery for the next shot with a handgun (one of which is comfortably tucked into his waistband), but shotguns.
His shoulder aches, and he knows there'll be one hell of a bruise there. And his aim isn't the best, but the other agents at Hellsing told him that was more or less all right, with a shotgun.
He rounds the corner a short distance away and he sees the group of seplavites. He flattens himself against the building to keep cover as he counts; over a dozen, but what are they waiting for?
Oh. They've surrounded a... woman in a bat costume? Huh. Okay.
He strides toward the group, considering potential tactics. He could shout, which would certainly draw the monsters' attention, but might also distract the woman they've surrounded and cause her further problems. He decides a direct assault is in order, but he wants to give her as much warning as possible. He corrects course, giving side of the group nearest him a wide berth so he can try to get into her field of vision.
