He'd apologize for shoving him if they weren't - well, in the middle of all this lunacy - Jae's not functioning on much logic beyond 'something is sucking me into the ground and it's not good'; presently Sunny is the more useful individual and thus it's more a priority he not get sucked into supernatural tentacle quicksand.
To hell with this week, seriously.
Jae stills as best he can and tolerates the telekenetic prodding, wanting very much for it to work, but the manipulation just seems to irritate whatever force is clinging to him. For moment it seems to let go, and he manages to get back a meter, but then his arm sinks into the earth and something else grabs him. He swears, unintelligible, his mishmashed first languages running into each other without rhyme or reason.
"It's that way," he manages, and points along with it - towards the Gross Tar's edge, which in Creekside, is sturdy, fence-lined, immediately deep and without a real shore. And he is definitely being pulled in that direction. A coil of mud rises and reaches out in Sunny's direction but Jae pushes it back down into the ground.
"I think it's uhm- trying to absorb me?"
Wow. That sounds insane. And detached, too. Jae only seems to really grasp the full weight of that accusation after he says it out loud, and he looks down warily, trying to manipulate his way out. Fortunately, the entity seems to be having trouble with the synthetic material of his clothes (and the protection of his magic). So far.
